Points of Light?

You can easily see the hypocrisy and delusion of the crusading political right in their views on abortion. They want less government interference but for the government to regulate or abolish abortion. They want fewer abortions but spend their money trying to shove their values down other people's throats, not setting up institutions offering women safe, free environments in which to have their babies.

They want individual freedom but not for women in this instance. Their values dictate otherwise. They are simply in the wrong country and century or millennium. Their animus for Islam comes from this, that they accept the idea of theocracy but for their god--Islam is right in demanding a religious state but wrong with the religion. This is why nonsense and imagined threats like Sharia Law make them nuts.
