Donald resorts to threats and intimidation. He resorts to innuendo, insults and insinuations. He resorts to retribution and reprisals. These are Donald's resorts.
He overreacts and resorts to it all in a normal give-and-take, in facing resistance to his own aggression. He hasn't yet been injured or really attacked, only thwarted.
I hate to think what he will do when he actually takes a hit.
