Donald is a de facto kind of president--loser of the popular vote and winner by a system fiat or fluke. He's starving for a mandate. He could have somewhat legitimized himself by being respectful of that. But, no. This is as it was with his inheritance. He got it, you didn't. Too bad, fuck you and get out of the way.
