We have some breaking budget news from the Republicans, who have squandered inconceivable amounts of money destabilizing the Middle East and getting people killed, while making tons of money for the big businesses that fund them. The Corporation for Public Broadcasting, a harmless entity, and other such institutions must go.
This has to be understood for what it is, a slap in the face and another in an long list of insults aimed at the Democrats. As budgets go it's a meaningless gesture but as gestures go it's a powerful reminder of Republican spitefulness, toxic partisanship and ethical depravity and a useful tactic in helping always keep the scrutiny from themselves.
