Dysorientation isn't confusion. Quite the opposite. It's a focus. An orientation toward evil. The loving of evil, doing of evil, and encouraging of evil and discord. Evil is their North Star.
Maybe 'malorientation' works better, I don't know, but we're only trying to describe something and trying to understand it, the incomprehensible evil of the Donald J. Trump administration.
