Garbage In, Garbage Out

I’m sure the Republican grandees planning our demise from behind the scenes thought it would be hard to find a wastrel greater than George Bush. Bush nearly accomplished the irreversible meltdown they desire. Then, rich people and the alliance of thugs supporting them can pick up the pieces, consolidating their power permanently.

But, yet again, a  relatively responsible Democratic president managed to pull us back from the brink. Now we see that the efforts of the right-wing wrecking crew have a life of their own. Monsters are wandering the moors, having escaped from conservative labs. They have lost control of their creations. The drones are flying themselves.

Step back from it.

If someone had said “find the biggest, most worthless piece of shit in the land and make him your leader” you couldn’t have done better than Trump. Republican operatives in the mainstream didn’t support him but they find now that he is even more malleable and devoid of conscience than Bush. Their “think tanks” have stepped up.

Hacks are posted to every job. Incompetence is a virtue. Independence, an anathema. Submission to the Reich is almost complete. The faithful—the true believers—grovel before Trump. These serfs are their heroes—archetypes and models of excellence. Where do they go from Trump? That’s the issue. No greater worthlessness is imaginable.

They must push for the completion and realization of their dream, an overthrow of democracy and end to majority rule. Trump is still a loose cannon. All the grandees can do is feed him garbage and pray everything falls apart completely before Democrats have another shot at repair. Americans wanted entertainment and drama.

They are about to get a face full.
