Trump is too old, but I think somebody is going to be coming after somebody the way Charles Bronson came after Henry Fonda in Once Upon a Time in the West. Too much evil has been done. Whoever made that movie, they saw some shit coming. 

The Bronx Boomer

Trump's a boomer. And he goes 'boom!' He blows up, with varying degrees of collateral damage. This time we all go 'boom' with him. That's his legacy. 

Hero of the Battle of Epstein Island

Donald Trump, lover of honors, awards and accolades, is hereby declared the Hero of the Battle of Epstein Island by the American Association of Pedophiles, Perverts, Sex Pests, Child Pornographers and Pigs for his successful thwarting of the prosecution of the persons involved in child rape with Jeffrey Epstein. 

Elect Me

Send me to Washington as your representative and I'll stand up and tell all the Republicans in Congress they're treasonous pieces of shit. I'll encourage all my Democratic colleagues to do the same. I will no doubt be censured and probably expelled if I keep it up. But what difference will that make? 

None. Our votes mean nothing.

Forced to defend myself I'll offer proof they are treasonous pieces of shit, assert First Amendment rights, and argue that it's impossible to capture what's going on in the country without such language. I will never back down. If I get booted out I'll insist on a replacement who will do the same thing. 

They want a fight. Let's give them one. For a change. 

Trump in a Tutu: Messages from the Unconscious

(this was written in 2020)

I believe that messages from the unconscious appear in dreams and in waking images that arise without any obvious stimulus. I also believe that some people have integrated primitive, unconscious drives into their lives in healthier ways and with less resistance because they are more open to it and because they believe those drives to be less shameful and, to some extent, even good. 

Fundamentalists and puritanical utopians are more likely to practice denial and frustration because they think that matter and "the flesh" are inherently base and sinful and only capable of leading one down into a pit of sin where they frolic with Satan. I, on the other hand, think that matter and "the flesh" and attendant frolics therein are good and part of a healthy emotional and spiritual life. 

Politically, the puritanical crowd has won the day and so denial is our prevailing ethic and assorted variations on toe-tapping behavior are the result. The puritanical utopians are in a hopeless quandary only resolved by dying, their release from the miasma of the material world. In the meantime they struggle horribly with the bonds of their humanity and imperfection and frequently run astray.

They are stuck in a body and existence they despise and so, when they fall, they usually fall hard into all kinds of sinful behavior, the baser the better, and learn nothing from it. They have no compassion for their own humanity because they hate it and even less for that of others because theirs is as apparent to them as their own is not. This is a sick-ass and self-destructive approach to life. 

Trump represents this unintegrated id and so it's understandable that he would provoke strong reactions in the underlying consciousnesses of others. He's stirring up some dark stuff. So I will begin a list of images occurring to me that seem to capture something essential about Trump, though they resist explication and understanding. I will list those here which seem symbolically true:

Conservative Conundrum

I wonder what our Supreme Court justices think now they've finally gotten their way and been proven completely wrong about the things they supposedly held dearest. They killed voting rights and affirmative action and Roe. Our politics is hopelessly corrupted by money. The country is riddled with guns and the horror of their abuse. There's fantastic inequity in the administration of the law. The executive branch runs amok, revels in corruption and is routinely involved in 'extrajudicial killings,' i.e., murders. 

How do they feel? This is the conservative conundrum and why they must never get into power because they DESTROY EVERYTHING. So the key is for conservatives to not forget this and to remain outsiders, WHERE THEY ARE PARASITES, and not have everyone see that their ideas are utter horseshit. Conservatism is a scam. I'm not sure American conservatives failed at this. They might have been hijacked, by the rednecks to whom they sold their souls for political power. The rednecks believed them. 

Because rednecks are so fucking stupid. So those idiot evangelicals came knocking and demanded the crazy shit they'd been promised in return for their votes. Voilà, the country is turned into a shitpile. Almost overnight it seems but it goes back to 1968 when Republicans looked at the racist morons who voted for Wallace and thought these are our people, ignorant and bigoted as hell. Let's talk racist code to them, forget the blacks, and we can win. What does Minneapolis look like? THE SOUTH.

Masked, racist goon squads supported by the legal system are terrorizing and persecuting people of color. Rejoice, the South (a proper noun now, like the Confederacy) has risen again and is finally setting the country back on God's holy path which was interrupted by the fucking Yankees. Their glorious and just system was defamed, dishonored and destroyed. Southern white men, together with their old allies among greedy capitalists, are having their long awaited retribution and the Confederacy lives again. 

One Dimensional Chess

Trump plays one dimensional chess. He bombs the shit out of the board. He sends in ICE. Everybody else plays by the rules. Not Trump. That's how he wins. 

A Sheet of ICE

ICE isn't about immigration. They're Trump's brownshirts, paramilitary goons and Gestapo. Any self-respecting dictator has got to have 'em. They aren't in Minneapolis to arrest and deport illegal aliens, let alone ones who are criminals. 

They're there to assert Trump's power. His absolute power to do whatever the fuck he wants. Illegality is a plus. More authoritarian. He wants everything under his dictatorial power, with a sheet of ICE. Complete control. There's no why to power.

Only will. Trump's will. 

Resisting by Existing

Trump's administration is trying to make it that disagreeing with them is disenfranchising. That Democrats, for example, or anyone they can label liberal, resist by existing. In opposition to them. Not by doing anything. Making us fair game for persecution. 

And being killed. That's being established.

Maybe they're right. By existing as we are we resist them. By standing for decency. For standards. For morals. For ethics. We believe in things they reject. Lots of things. We don't hate them. Well, I don't. But we fight them because they're wrong.

Utter Contempt for Life

The Trump administration's most devoted supporters are evangelical Christians. So it embodies their core values, most deeply an utter contempt for life.

When We Do It It's Different

When Democrats criticize Republicans it's different, because Republicans are an identity movement. They're tribal and they're racists. 

Democrats fault behaviors. Behaviors can be changed. Republican standards reflect matters of being, accidents of birth and characteristics.

Because they're fucking racists.

ICE Strikes Again

Another person shot and killed by ICE goons or immigration authorities. We don't need more information. They have no business being in Minnesota in the first place. Or anywhere else. This is on them. They need to get the fuck out. 

Consolidated Everything

Republicans want to consolidate everything. They like shit big. Monopolies, you name it. They think it's that or chaos. It is, but only in their brains. What's in their brains can be made manifest, however, as it has with Trump. They create the chaos. Because they're sick fucks. 

Immigration or Intimidation

Minneapolis. Now Maine. Other places before them but maybe not as bad. This has nothing to do with immigrants. Nothing. Obama and Biden, especially Obama, did what Trump said he was going to do, deporting people who deserved it. This is about intimidation. And building a capability. It's all practice for some form of tyranny. So it is tyranny, but not at critical mass.

Choose Your Side

Democrats want to send a message that an ICE agent shooting someone in the face and killing her, illegally since she was not a threat, is bad and to be discouraged apart from being illegal. Republicans want to send a message that it is fine. Choose your side. 

Blessings and Beatings

Don't forget ICE is on God's side. You're not only being beaten you're being blessed by being beaten. Isn't that cool. You should be appreciative. 

Archdick Donald

Trump is royalty alright. Asshole Supreme and Archdick Donald. 

The Real Discontinuity

The real American discontinuity is not Trump or anything that's going on now. The real discontinuity was in the push for racial justice. We're returning to our roots in racism and injustice. 

An American Consensus

Democrats dislike Trump because he's a destructive piece of shit. Republicans like Trump because he's a destructive piece of shit. There's a hidden consensus. There's a hidden American consensus that Donald Trump is a destructive piece of shit. 

Professional Losers

Democrats are professional losers. We can count on them to find a way to lose. They're waiting around for another political prodigy to save them, indulging in assorted fantasies because they're so convinced they're right, but it's too late. 

Woke the Military

One can fantasize. That Democrats will have the opportunity to set it all right. That they will have the opportunity and act with the decisiveness and determination of Republicans. Fuck things up, but in a good way. Go beyond Trump, or where he is now. Declare a national emergency and martial law. 

Shut down Fox News and reactionary radio. Close every right wing, Trojan Horse 'think tank' and get the money, all of it, out of politics. Jail a whole bunch of people until things can be returned to a state of principled legality and constitutional observance. Nice jails not their shit. No killing or cruelty.

We can never do that. Do you see the problem? We will need enforcers and those people are inclined to be right-wing authoritarians. They'll comply with any kind of illegality and Trump abomination. They'll probably do it for Vance if Trump dies. They're authoritarians first. And tribal, identity types. 

So any Democrat that tries to do anything remotely like what's Trump's doing but in accordance with the law, not in spite of it like Trump, will have problems with compliance. Problems getting the people who will do any crazy, illegal shit Trump asks will resist doing legal shit for Democrats. 

Because lunacy is more authoritarian. 

Lunacy is like God, the final repository of everything. Fuck the law if you have access to God because God is the law, whereas Democrats don't claim this level of authority because we're not nuts. So we need a woke military. That isn't indoctrination or, if it is, it's indoctrination in respecting the law.

Indoctrination in not being a criminal. The kind of woke we need, not firing people at universities for violations of language purity or whatever, which I always understood as an overreaction out of the frustration at being defeated. When I simulate what Democrats need to do this is where I end up.

And it's not reassuring.
