As is obvious now America has a problem with being unrooted and lacking in cultural depth and sophistication. Which sounds unambiguously bad but it means being tapped into some primal shit that produces experiences that addicts and artists are prone to have because they are more in touch with their id. Or something like that. In any case Trump's America is pretty clearly in love with the primal shit. Americans are primitives. Primitives with nukes. And incapable of questioning that and rising above it. Because they've got massive Calvinist baggage.
