The Real Reagan

I remember going to D.C. in the Reagan years and seeing a guy out with a life-size cardboard figure of Reagan with which you could be photographed. I passed. 

But I remember thinking this was the real Reagan. A prop, a cutout and a facade. A stand-in and stooge. A Hollywood set with an elaborate front and nothing behind.

I'm going to go with this.
