The Joy of Flaming Wreckage and the Appeal of Trumpism

Trumpism goes back to the sacrificial instinct. Virgins and Volcanos. We must appease the gods or they'll smite us. And we have a toasted virgin deficit. 

We haven't kept up. So those that subscribe to this thinking like Steve Bannon and other catastrophists love the idea of an age of transformative carnage.

Wouldn't that be cool. Mass killings or die-offs or what have you and by any means. Flood. Famine. Fire. Mutant rodents. Nuclear holocaust. It's all good.
