Evangelicals are such hypocrites. They insist on a highly individual path to Christ. How is that compatible with shoving your beliefs down other people's throats? And they insist that salvation is itself entirely individual, that no group membership or identification or sacramental hocus pocus or raft of good works will get you there, but they're obsessed with the morality of others and the society as a whole. What are they so afraid of? Their own corruptibility. Their own weakness. Their own unacknowledged sinfulness and perversion.
