If Trump ever had coattails he has a caboose now, whatever that structure is sticking out back his ass presumably to contain it when he shits himself. He's shit himself, the Republican Party, the country and he's aiming beyond all that, the world as Trump's sty. Mainly we care about the Republican Party, which with Trump's trashing we might be able to beat into submission.
